What I wore for an Indian wedding! Part 1
I thought I should share some Indian/ethnic looks since I am in India travelling and will be attending so many Indian weddings.
I got this kurti designed with gold motifs for the function as all the bridesmaids were getting matching dupattas and had to wear an outfit around that. We had so much fun and danced so much. This beautiful jewelry I wore was given to us by the brides mother.
It was THE day and the bride looked so so so good, elegant and radiant. Her outfits were so unique and amazingly detailed.
The functions and rituals were amazing I also made a lot of Delhi friends.
So about my outfit!
This was my most favourite ootd. I love love this lehenga my mom picked this up for me!
She got the ready made materials from Bhuleshwar (Mumbai, India) they have amazing shops there.
I did not make the blouse with the original fabric because I wanted to mix and match so I used a long sleeve velvet saree blouse .
I wore these amazing velvet mules designed by Artbyat. If you read my previous blog you know what I am talking about.
And I completed the look by using a Maang tikka. I can’t even describe how much I loved this look.
I wore my pink Burberry bag with all my Indian outfits as it was comfortable and could carry all my belongings, specially my Polaroids
I love shoes and I wanted something unique and comfortable to wear with ethnic as well as western outfits. Mainly slides that are easy to travel with and have colours that go with all my clothes.
My friend Aradhana has an amazing online footwear collection.
Every design is so unique and amazingly detailed. I had a hard time deciding on a pair finally I chose these. I love velvet if you follow my blog you know my love for velvet and the tassel detailing caught my attention. I have already worn these for an Indian wedding with my lehenga.
Every foot wear in her collection is a work of art in itself.

It’s Fall here in Canada and it’s getting colder and I am not exactly a winter person but I love sweaters and layering.
For this look I paired my mom jeans with a plaid shirt and a bright yellow jacket that I don’t really remember where I got from but some place in Shillong a long time ago.
I completed this look with a nice warm pashmina shawl I got gifted from a good friend and my mauve coloured booties and off course sunglasses. You can’t see my maroon sling/backpack in this picture but if you have seen my Mexico blog post you know what I am talking about.
Mom jeans: Frank+Oak
Plaid shirt: Forever21
Booties: Urban planet
Jacket: some place in Shillong ☺️
I know we are heading towards Fall but I still want it to feel like summer. My outfit of the day is still inspired by summer and tropical kind of vibes and I want to keep it that way as long as possible.
When it’s comes to a summer look my favourite accessory to go to are sunglasses.
I came across Hot Miami Shades through instagram, they have an amazing collection of sunglasses as well as clothing and other accessories.

Hey I back with another summer look!! I mean who doesn’t love summer outfits.
Easy breezy !!
I wanted to show a summer look that is bright and fun.
Everybody is loving the T-shirt dress trend these days, so I decided to show a look inspired by that! I wore a large white with vibrant colours men’s T-shirt as a dress. I paired it up with these really cute pink velvet sneakers. For accessories I added a red bandana as a statement neck piece and finished the whole look with my fanny pack.
I loved this look and now I love T-shirt dresses and I love this neck piece idea it is so light and fun!!
The whole idea for this look for to feel comfortable, trendy and most important of all…effortless!
Sneakers- Steve Madden
Fanny pack- Zara
- I love summers!
I wanted this look to be colourful, fresh, breezy and comfortable.
This look is mainly inspired by Indian and Mexican fashion.
I got these vibrant earrings from a street shop in Colaba Causeway market in Mumbai, India – I loved it as soon as I saw it, mainly because it was colour full, fun and has a lovely mirror detailing.
This pretty white top I found at a street shop in Cuernavaca, Mexico when I went there for a trip. I loved this coz it was simple yet funky. The embroidery on this top is so beautiful. I love finding items that having embroidery details or any type of embellishments.
The denim shorts I wore are also from a street shop in Sarogini market in Delhi, India.
I completed this look with my colorful mules that i bought from Urban Planet and a bright shade of orange lipstick from Color Bar which I also picked up from India.
Honestly this look is not my personal style because I don’t usually wear a combination of traditional with western, but I might just start doing this. This style might just be my new fav look.

Been quiet some time since I posted a what I wore to a wedding content.
It was so nice to be a part of Kesia and Febryan’s wedding.
The wedding was at Cambium Farms. Everything was spectacular from the ceremony to the wedding party. I went there in a fancy Limo with my friends, popped a champagne.
It was a June wedding so I decided to dress up summery with a little bit of vintage vibes. I decided to wear something that is not usually my style. I wore a cute yellowish/gold cold shoulder dress. I knew there would be lots of dancing so I decided to wear sandal. I decided to go contrast with my shoes so I wore these open toe wedge sandals in red. They were so comfortable and I think red is becoming my new favourite colour. Since they was so much going on with my frilly dress I decided to not wear to accessories too much and just added my new Nadri necklace. This dainty necklace along with my name necklace went really well with the whole look.
Outfit description –
Accessories- necklace by Nadri and my usual name necklace.
I love prints! I love prints that involve flowers even more!!
I designed this a long long time ago! The found this fabric in a fabric place in Mumbai and I knew what I wanted to make from it. I love summer and more over I love crop tops. This design is a classic it will never go out of style. I am so excited to post about it.
I styled it with y favourite hat from Forever21 a chocker I bought from the streets of Colaba cosway in Mumbai and denim from Garage clothing, Canada.
I love silk ! Specially sleep wear. I love designing and I have never really designed sleep wear so I thought why not ?
I designed these, two-piece sets keeping in mind comfort, breezy and style.
I created a simple design, short and a camisole. And decided to get them stitched in two colours, baby pink and my all time favourite shade of grey.
let me know how you like my designs and if I could make more and sell them?
